Dear Homeowners,
The annual election for the Oak Harbor Owners’ Association Board of Directors is approaching. The Board plays a vital role in managing our community's infrastructure, ensuring operational stability, and safeguarding property values. We are seeking dedicated homeowners who are ready to lead and serve our community.
In accordance with Association Bylaws and Texas Property Code Section 209.00593, this notice documents the official call for candidates made during our June 13th public meeting. If you wish to have your name pre-printed on the official voting ballot, you must submit your candidacy form by the deadline listed above.
Board Eligibility Requirements
To be eligible for a seat on the Board, you must meet the following criteria:
- Property Ownership: You must be a recorded property owner within the subdivision.
- Criminal History: You cannot have been convicted of a felony or a crime involving moral turpitude (such as fraud, theft, or embezzlement) within the past 20 years.
- No Co-Habitation: You cannot cohabit at the same primary residence with any other current board member.
How to Submit Your Candidacy
If you meet these qualifications and want to run for a position, please submit the following information via email to oakharborpoa2022@yahoo.com or mail/deliver it to 116 Southlake Drive, Mabank, TX 75147:
- Full Name & Property Address
- Contact Information (Phone and Email)
- Brief Biography/Statement of Interest (Optional, maximum 250 words to be distributed to residents upon request)
Important Timeline Note: All candidacy submissions must be received no later than June 23, 2026, at 5:00 PM. In compliance with Texas law, official voting materials and absentee ballots will be distributed to all homeowners 10 days later, on June 30, 2026.
